Prescription Sunglasses: What You Didn't Know

When it comes to glasses, getting a prescription pair is a no-brainer. It is as important as any medical device, and failing to look after your eyes – particularly in today's world of screens – can have serious consequences. Are you tired of attempting to wear your sunglasses over your glasses? Prescription sunglasses, also known as Rx sunglasses, are ideal for driving, sunbathing, and even sports.

1.       They are available with bifocals

You may think prescription sunglasses have fewer choices, but they don't! In reality, much of the same benefits as normal eyeglasses, including bifocals, are available.

2.       They're available in progressives

Do you require a complete progressive? It's no problem.  Nowadays many Prescription glasses makers only use the best digital progressives, which mean the output is higher and the intermediate segment is wider.

3.       You can polarize them with a bifocal or progressive lens

Because a polarized filter is applied as a film over the lens, it has no effect on the lens' prescription.

4.       Prescription wraparound sunglasses are available

Because of the way the edge of the lens bends with a higher Rx, it becomes more difficult, but if anyone can do it, it's us. So, if you're looking for a sports wrap, come see us. We'll come up with a solution for you.

5.       Customized mirror colors are available

Mirrored lenses are excellent for reducing eye pressure and are still available with prescription sunglasses. Mirrored sunglasses, like polarized sunglasses, are created by adding a coating to the lens and thus have no effect on the prescription.
